The Diploma in Epidemiology and Biostatistics is a specialized program designed for students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. This program offers advanced coursework to enhance students’ skills in designing, coordinating, analyzing, and reporting the results of epidemiologic studies related to outbreaks and endemic infectious and chronic diseases.

Students in this program will gain the ability to analyze large public health surveillance data sets and the curriculum is structured to equip students with the necessary tools to conduct various types of epidemiological studies, including prospective cohort studies, case-control studies, systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, and diagnostic testing studies.

A key component of the program is the emphasis on practical skills. Students will learn how to analyze results using R software and bio statistical techniques, preparing them for real-world applications in the field of epidemiology and biostatistics.
