Prof. Dr. Abdolahi Mohamed Adawe

Dr. Abdolahi Mohamed Adawe is a Ph.D. holder in Analytical Chemistry from Anadolu University, 2021, Turkey, a MSc., in Analytical Chemistry from University of Nairobi, 2015, Kenya, and a BSc., in Applied Chemistry from the International University of Africa (IUA),2010, Sudan. He is a professional in Environmental /Analytical Chemistry, he is also a water quality expert and Instrumental analysis such as separation techniques (CE, HPLC, UPC2, GC-MS/FID,), AAS, AES, and UV-Vis techniques. He has a number of publications in the area of Water quality assessments, Chemical Security, and Pharmacognosy. Currently, he works as a senior chemistry lecturer at the department of public health faculty of public health and tropical medicine, Somali National University, he is also the founder/current Director of Somali Chemical Society /Somali Water Institute, he worked at Golis University, Departments of geology, civil Engineering and agriculture as a chemistry lecturer, During that time, he was also a Laboratory technician at Ma’arif College, Hargeisa, Somalia. He also worked at Somali International University as a Chemistry lecturer; he is a member of American Chemical Society since 2018. He has undertaken several courses organized by the IGAD Inland Water Resources Management Program (INWRMP), including the integrated watershed management & Flood Based Farming System in ASAL Areas, Horn of Africa. He has also participated in a number of workshops such as African Region Urban Water workers engineering including courses on water treatment plants, water quality analysis, and water safety plans in Yokohama City, Japan. He has been a part of the Somali Delegation to the 10th International Symposium on water supply Technology, Innovative Water supply System in the Age of Change and Uncertainty, Kobe International Exhibition Hall, Kobe, Japan. He is also an OPCW associate Program -AP -2016 that took place in Hague, Netherlands, UK, and Italy.
